CHIJIOKE ANTHONY EKE, FNCS, FCGP, FIMC, CIoD, a highly respected ICT trailblazer in Africa, co-founder, and Director of Sidmach Technologies Nigeria Limited. With about 40 years of active cognate experience in the ICT sector, he has led innovations that have revolutionized the sector in areas such system development and Integration, complex networks, now particularly in the IT-enabled education delivery in Nigeria. This has impacted in over 100 million young lives. His illustrious career began at KPMG Consulting, where he first made his mark as an IT prodigy. He then expanded his expertise at Shell Petroleum Development Company (SPDC) where he played and held significant roles. He also put his decisive expertise to active play at Perry Consulting and Data Sciences Nigeria before co-founding Sidmach Technologies Nigeria Limited in 1993 with three professional colleagues.
Under Chijioke’s leadership, Sidmach Technologies has digitally transformed several organisations, particularly key Nigerian institutions such as WAEC, JAMB, and NYSC, making education more accessible and efficient. His proactive-thinking approach has driven the company to consistently lead in educational technology innovations.
Recently, Sidmach launched a groundbreaking solution for Tertiary institutions, positioned to redefine classroom learning including Satellite Campuses, which promises to be a game changer for education in Nigeria.
An alumnus of the University of Ife (now Obafemi Awolowo University), where he studied Computer Science/Economics, Chijioke remains dedicated to giving back to his alma mater. He has donated buildings, water facilities, and PPE equipment, demonstrating his commitment to social responsibility and community development. His contributions include a full building for the Faculty of Education, an en-suite 4-bedroom guesthouse for the Alumni body, and a 21,000 liters water storage facility with a modern borehole system for Mozambique Hall on the OAU campus.
Chijioke is a Fellow of the Nigeria Computer Society (FNCS), a Fellow of the Association of Corporate Governance Professionals of Nigeria (FACGP) and Council member, a Fellow of the Institute of Management Consultants (FIMC), a member of the Computer Professionals Registration Council (MCPN), and a Life Member of the Chattered Institute of Directors of Nigeria.
In the course of his professional development, he has attended countless number of courses and international conferences / workshops globally.
Passionate about education, human capacity development, and social responsibility, he spends his free time mentoring and training business leaders across Nigeria. Happily married with four children, Chijioke is a consummate believer in the endless possibilities for Africa and its people.
